Child Wellbeing in OSHC

This workshop focuses on the vital role of wellbeing in supporting children’s learning, development, and overall engagement within Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) settings. Participants will explore the key elements that contribute to a child’s sense of safety, belonging, and emotional security, and how these factors underpin positive social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Through practical strategies, reflective discussion, and current research, educators will learn how to create environments and routines that promote wellbeing, resilience, and positive peer interactions. The session also highlights the connection between children’s wellbeing and their capacity to participate, explore, and learn confidently in OSHC programs.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped with actionable tools to support children’s holistic wellbeing, foster strong relationships, and implement everyday practices that nurture each child’s sense of identity, belonging, and confidence. This workshop is essential for educators committed to creating caring, supportive, and engaging OSHC environments where every child thrives.
