Positive Interactions with Children

This workshop is designed to equip educators with practical strategies to engage positively with children as they develop cultural and social competence. With a focus on fostering secure, respectful, and reciprocal relationships, participants will explore key concepts such as respect, role modeling, effective language use and acknowledgement vs praise.  

With an emphasis on the importance of protecting trust and relationships with children, this course provides collaborative opportunities to discuss common scenarios. Educators will learn how positive interactions and rephrased communication can influence children’s behaviour, learning, and overall development, supporting healthy brain growth and emotional well-being.
