Building Strong Partnerships with Families

This workshop focuses on the importance of forming meaningful and collaborative partnerships with families to support children’s holistic learning and development. Recognising that building strong relationships is a “whole team” approach, participants will explore how every staff member can engage proactively with families to foster trust, communication, and shared understanding.

The session highlights evidence-based concepts that underpin effective family partnerships, including respect, empathy, and consistent engagement. Through discussion and practical activities, educators will explore strategies for involving families in decision-making, sharing information about children’s learning, and creating inclusive environments where families feel valued and supported.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have practical tools and insights to strengthen their relationships with families, enhance collaboration, and create a supportive network that benefits children, educators, and families alike. This workshop is ideal for educators seeking to build meaningful connections and foster a culture of partnership in their education and care setting.
