This hands-on masterclass invites Early Childhood Educators to collaboratively explore and apply the 8 Ways of Learning as a framework for programming and planning.
Grounded in Aboriginal pedagogy and guided by relational ways of knowing, being and doing, participants will work together to develop a program around a shared topic of enquiry, discovering how each of the 8 Ways can shape, inform and enrich their curriculum approach.
From story sharing and non-linear learning to community links and land-based learning, this practical workshop moves beyond theory and into action. Educators will co-design learning experiences, create a learning map, and embed the 8 Ways in meaningful and culturally responsive ways.
Participants will leave with:
- A working draft of a program plan using the 8 Ways
- A deeper understanding of each pedagogy in context
- Ideas for connecting with community and Country
- Confidence to collaborate with their team using an intercultural lens
